What sorts of problems can be helped by hypnotherapy?
These problems are very common and, depending on the cause, usually respond very well to hypnotherapy.
General anxiety, sleeping problems, Panic attack, and various disorders caused by underlying, traumas, anxiety and extreme stress such as OCD, PTSD, Overthinking, Fears and Phobias of medical procedures, flying, needing a toilet away from home, Smoking, Recreational Drug taking, Nail biting, compulsive habits, Anger problems, Lack of confidence and Assertiveness, Poor Self-esteem, Infertility and much more.
What can I expect in the treatment session?
First I learn more about the issue, how it’s been negatively affecting you, what you want to change and how this will benefit you. We discuss your objectives and check that you are completely on board with them. Then I guide you into Hypnosis and select appropriate techniques to help you achieve your aims. Hypnosis could be described as a pleasant, yet highly focused, daydream-like state.
These techniques might include a ‘clearance’ procedure to let go of unhelpful feelings and responses stored from the past, direct suggestions to facilitate your desired outcome, and detailed guided visualisation of you happily carrying out everything we have discussed earlier. You can rest assured that everything is tailor made to you … it’s not a ‘one size fits all’ approach … and at no time will I try to make you do anything you don’t want to do.
